AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION (ABWA)

Verdugo Glen Chapter - Glendale, California

City of Glendale City Hall and Verdugo Mountains

When you consider that more than forty million women are employed, it is logical that an organization devoted to the advancement of women should come into to being. Such is the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), a national organization founded in 1949, which is the fourth largest women's organization in the country and has 35,000 members and 800 chapters throughout the United States!

Verdugo Glen chapter is a group of professional business women primarily from Burbank and Glendale and also includes members from other areas of the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys in Los Angeles County. We meet regularly for personal and professional development, networking, community involvement, and most of all, friendship.

For the third year since its National Award inception, Verdugo Glen chapter was honored in Kansas City, Missouri at the 2009  National Women's Leadership Conference and was recognized for "Best Practices for Group Management - Level II" and presented with the ABWA Seal of Approval.

WELCOME! We extend an invitation for you to attend one of our monthly chapter meetings or special fund raising events. Normally, we meet every 4th Wednesday for networking, dinner, business meeting and program at the Glendale Elks, 120 E. Colorado. We have no chapter meeting in July and there are holiday calendar exceptions. Contact Membership Chair Lynn White Shelby at lynnws@msn.com for information.
