AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION (ABWA)
Verdugo Glen Chapter - Glendale, California
City of Glendale City Hall and Verdugo Mountains
When you consider that more than forty million women are employed, it is logical that an organization devoted to the advancement of women should come into to being. Such is the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), a national organization founded in 1949, which is the fourth largest women's organization in the country and has 35,000 members and 800 chapters throughout the United States!
Verdugo Glen chapter is a group of professional business women primarily from Burbank and Glendale and also includes members from other areas of the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys in Los Angeles County. We meet regularly for personal and professional development, networking, community involvement, and most of all, friendship.
At the 2007 National Women's Leadership Conference, Verdugo Glen chapter was selected one of only two California chapters (within the national total of 33 chapters) to be recognized as a recipient of the coveted Star Award and be presented the ABWA Seal of Approval in recognition of best practices in group management for excellence in such areas as programming and business planning.
WELCOME! We extend an invitation for you to attend one of our monthly chapter meetings or special fund raising events. Normally, we meet every 4th Wednesday (with some exceptions during the holiday calendar). We have no chapter meeting in July.
National ABWA Mission Statement
